Luis Guinea is a composer, multi-instrumentalist and producer who, within his works, combines different elements derived from Latin American, Mexican and European music, both current and from previous decades and centuries. In each of his compositions, he is in charge of making the arrangements, writing the scores and directing his orchestra, which usually includes a brass, woodwind and string section, drums, percussion, bass, piano, synthesizers, guitars and choirs. With a degree in Music Production from Rec Música, Centro de Estudios Musicales, in association with Berklee College of Music and a graduate of the Sixth Generation of the Workshop of the Society of Authors and Composers of Mexico (TCSACM), Luis is currently working on various projects related to Mexican cinema and television, and collaborating with other artists of his generation.

Luis is also founder and director of his own record label (Moctezuma Music Group), which has helped many independent and emerging artists in Mexico to record their music, publish it on digital platforms and get good exposure with their listeners and fans.

Songwriting and Composition. Society of Authors and Composers of Mexico

Selected among hundreds of composers in Mexico, Luis was awarded a scholarship by the society to study composition techniques, songwriting and artistic management for a year.

Rec Music. Center of Musical Studies (Berklee Global Parter)

This bachelor's degree aims to prepare the student in the mastery of technology and the development of their creative and musical abilities, to become a leader capable of successfully creating a musical project from scratch. Upon completion of the degree, students will have the confidence of having the necessary preparation and ability to enhance their professional career by creating their own company.

During their preparation, the student will acquire knowledge on topics as varied as playing an instrument, directing an ensemble, listening to understand and mastering engineering concepts, learning about microphones, operating the most important software in the music industry, identifying the target audience according to the type project, legal issues and methodologies for the production process. Likewise, the student will develop the necessary management and touch skills to guide each of the people who collaborate within the team, including the artist.

As a global entertainment and music business student, we focus on the skills, concepts, and methodologies central to global business models and apply these models to the artistic management and entrepreneurial challenges of music and digital media in the contemporary international entertainment industry. We strengthen our analytical and leadership skills as well as our written, oral, and musical communication skills. As we advance our professional skills and knowledge, we grow and excel as leaders of the global music industry.
